Starting from C series, the Yamaha’s uses their patented vacuum molding process to elimiate imperfections in the iron plate, pins having lathe cut threads for optimal grip in the pin block to protect against fluctuations from humidity. This has helped greatly in giving C3B a more stable tuning point.

3. Tonality and Voicing

A Yamaha piano just isnt a Yamaha if it doesnt have clear, crips tones and a decent bass range, well this C3B grand piano delivers. At 6ft1, we got a taste of the real bass, feel found in larger grands and had excellent dynamics to allow a smooth transition from PPP to FFF comfortably. (U get me if you are an emotional pianist like me haha, we jump dynamics from time to time in a sudden)

The C3 is designed with a duplex scale—the non-speaking portion of the piano strings (located between the bridge pins and hitch pins). The purpose of the duplex scale is to add color and flavor to the sound. The metal tone collector is also worth talking about. It connects to the back posts and the iron plate of the piano allowing sound energy to transmit through the piano’s case for a fuller longer lasting tone.

4 . Conclusion – For the PROS .

If you are looking for a grand that will not break your wallet, but fancy to collect C series rather than G series, then this is the perfect grand for you. So far we have never seen a C1B, but yes they do have C5B, the 6FT7 pianos. If you are looking for other option, such as the three pedal C3, yes we have it as well but the price will be a little higher. Do give us a call and we will let u know what grand pianos we have in stock as we kept around 50 units grand piano all year long.
