FIRST GENERATION OF YAMAHA'S UPRIGHT PIANO

The first piano to be made in Japan was an upright built in 1900 by Torakusu Yamaha, founder of Nippon Gakki CO LTD, which later renamed into YAMAHA corporation in 1950. Therefore we could see Nippon Gakki logo on the Yamaha Piano Iron Frame.

Yamaha  NO 100,150,200,250,300 are the very first commercially produced upright piano during 1970s. It was later remodel into U1, U2, and U3. Although this piano is already aged around 60 years old, it still plays beautifully. suitable for beginners player or customer with lower budget.

Here is a NO150 that has had a gentle life although it has aged, and has been refurbished to play greatly. These are rugged practice instruments that can take intensive use for another 10 to 15 years. The key is finding one with good felt throughout the action, soundboard in great shape and it will hold the tuning well.

The NO150 is a full size exam graded piano and ti can have a deep bass tone, with quick repetition after our Yamaha trained technician who did a great job on the piano regulation. The great regulation done thus lead to great consistency which provide a standard playing experience on the piano.
